Marriage is the lifelong covenant between one man and one woman.
This union is a divine gift that illustrates the relationship between Christ and His church, providing a structure for intimate companionship, a channel for sexual expression based on biblical principles, and a means for the procreation of humanity.
The husband and wife hold equal value before God, as both are made in His image. The marital relationship reflects God's connection with His people. A husband should love his wife as Christ loved the church, taking on the responsibility to provide for, protect, and lead his family. A wife should graciously submit to her husband's leadership, much like the church submits to Christ's authority.
She, being made in God's image like her husband and equal to him, is tasked with respecting her husband and assisting in managing the household and nurturing the next generation.
Children, from conception, are a blessing and legacy from the Lord. Parents should exemplify God's design for marriage to their children, teaching them spiritual and moral values, and guiding them through consistent example and loving discipline to make decisions grounded in biblical truth. Children should honor and obey their parents.
